Together with the Commission on Map Design (Ian Muehlenhaus), we are planning a one-day-workshop at the University of Florence. We want to discuss and sketch hands-on problems of map design in atlases, divided into two parts:
1) Designing Information for different audiences
2) Base Map for Atlases: Print and Digital Considerations
